The Nurse Course was designed by Parkinson's nurse specialists to help other nurses better understand how to deliver comprehensive care to people living with Parkinson's disease (PD) and their families. Considering the growing number of people living with Parkinson's and the shortage of neurologists specializing in the disease, it is pressing that we prepare current and next generation nurses to care for people with Parkinson's.
The course is designed for career nurses who may work in long-term care and acute care settings, current nursing students or recently graduated with little knowledge or confidence in caring for someone with Parkinson's.
This nursing continuing professional development activity was approved by the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses, for 9 credit hours, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Date of Activity: March 29, 2021 through March 28, 2023
